Southern Oaks residents are subject to Central Florida's mandatory landscape-irrigation restrictions.
For March 8 through October 31, 2026, watering is limited to two days per week, based on the street address:
Address Watering Days:
Odd-numbered addresses - Wednesday & Saturday
Even-numbered addresses - Thursday & Sunday
Watering is prohibited between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and irrigation should not exceed one hour per zone.
From November 1, 2026 through March 13, 2027:
The schedule changes seasonally, so residents should check the current Orange County schedule when setting automatic irrigation timers.
New sod or landscaping may qualify for a temporary watering exception. Residents may water new sod or landscaping on any day during the first 30 days, followed by every other day for the next 30 days, provided the required information is registered with Orange County Utilities.

Southern Oaks' streets are public streets, and City of Orlando parking regulations apply.
PLEASE keep your own vehicle parked in garages or driveways rather than along neighborhood streets when possible.
Street parked cars:
1. Block clear sightlines for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians. Lets keep our roads safe and easy to navigate for everyone.
2. Street-parked cars detract from the aesthetic appeal of our community. Off the street parking keeps our neighborhood looking its best.
Most importantly for residential streets, the City of Orlando prohibits leaving a vehicle parked on the same street for more than 72 consecutive hours unless it is removed from that street for at least 12 consecutive hours during the 72-hour period.
The City also specifically provides a process for reporting chronic or nuisance parking problems.
For an abandoned or illegally parked vehicle:
📞 Orlando Police Department Non-Emergency: 321-235-5300
For chronic neighborhood parking problems:
📞 City Code Enforcement: 407-246-2686
📧 codeenforcement@orlando.gov
The City asks residents reporting nuisance parking to provide their name and address, as well as the location, dates and times of the problem.
